UNIMAS has introduced a new internal grant designed to empower staff and students in advancing sustainability-focused initiatives. The grant supports research, innovation, and community outreach projects that are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In 2025, UNIMAS established the Tabung Sumbangan Kelestarian to strengthen community engagement, foster university–industry collaboration, and drive sustainable community development. The fund is supported by initial seed funding, with plans to expand through contributions from industry partners across Sarawak.
